This blog is about my 2002 road camping trip with my dogs Leben and Erde. The trip lasted 60 days, 10,000 miles, and took us from DC to Maine, by ferry to Nova Scotia and then Newfoundland, and then onto Labrador. One hundred miles up the coast of Labrador, we had to turn back to Newfoundland when we discovered that the Trans-Labrador highway was not finished. We took a three-day ferry from Newfoundland to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and then drove to the end of the road in the northeast in Northwest River Labrador. From there we took the Trans-Labrador highway to Labrador City, drove to down to Quebec, and then on to News Brunswick and Prince Edwards Island, where we spent a week before heading home to DC.
